Who We Are

At the Sierra Leone Network on the Right to Food (SiLNoRF) , we are a passionate team dedicated to advocate for people’s rights using evidence based research and campaign for responsible land use for sustainable development. SiLNoRF is a network of 16 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and operating in nine districts across Sierra Leone.

A diverse network with a commitment to advocate, lobby and seeks constructive dialogue, interface and engagement with the relevant stakeholders for the promotion of the Right to Food (RtF) and land justice.
We strive to create impact and experience in the lives of peasant farmers and deprived communities. Our diverse network, expertise and shared values drive us to continuously push barriers and deliver high-quality result in everything we do.

SiLNoRF established in 2008, from a humble beginning to where we are today, we’ve always focused on building strong relationships and fostering a culture of collaboration and integrity. Our mission is simply to provide exceptional advocacy through evidence based lobby, dialogue and engagement for the efficient realization of the right to food in Sierra Leone.

What We Do

Promoting the Right to Food

We believe that access to sufficient, nutritious food is a fundamental human right. Our work focuses on: Advocating for food security policies, Supporting sustainable agriculture and Raising awareness

Land Governance

Land is a vital resource for many communities around the world, and we stand firm in the belief that everyone has the right to own, access, and control land in a fair and equitable manner.

Environmental Justice

Environmental sustainability is intertwined with human rights. We recognize that a healthy environment is essential for the realization of basic human rights, particularly the right to food and safe living conditions.
